ShuntWizard is a research-stage software prototype and does not currently perform any medical function in clinical practice. ShuntWizard is currently under development and is NOT a certified or approved medical device. It has not received CE marking, FDA clearance, or any other regulatory approval for medical use. Any future regulatory status will depend on successful conformity assessment procedures.
The information and products described on this website are for research, development, and informational purposes only. They are not intended for:
- Diagnosis of disease or other conditions
- Cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease
- Clinical decision-making without appropriate medical supervision

2. Data We Collect and Why
a) Contact form
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing necessary to respond to your request). We retain contact form submissions for up to 6 months after the enquiry is resolved, then delete them.
b) Server and access logs
Our hosting provider automatically records access logs when you visit this website. These logs may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the date and time of your visit. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure and stable website). Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days, then deleted automatically by our hosting provider.
3. Hosting Provider and Data Processor
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel acts as a data processor on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement. As Vercel operates global edge infrastructure, your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Vercel relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as the legal transfer mechanism. For details, see Vercel's Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies
We do not use tracking or analytics cookies. Vercel may set strictly necessary technical cookies (e.g. for load balancing or bot protection) to ensure the website functions correctly. These cookies do not track you across websites and do not require consent under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. No Analytics or Third-Party Tracking
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising services on this website. No personal data is shared with advertising networks.
6. Your Rights
